Guy Carpenter & Company announced that Mark Newman, Hugh Powell and John Trace have been named Co-Leaders of GCFac ®, Guy Carpenter’ s dedicated global facultative reinsurance unit.
Britt Newhouse, President of Guy Carpenter’ s Americas Operations, indicated that the appointments would “enhance our ability to maintain our leadership position in the facultative marketplace and build on our existing strengths. He also noted that the three men have a number of “cumulative years of expertise in the facultative arena.”
The bulletin also noted that “in addition to their shared global role, the team will continue their regional responsibilities. Mr. Trace will oversee all facultative business in the United States, Mr. Powell will be responsible for all facultative business in Latin America and the Caribbean and Mr. Newman will manage facultative operations within Asia Pacific, London and Continental Europe.”
