ACE American Insurance Company, one of the principle operating companies in the ACE Group, announced it has received approval to establish a Representative Office in the Emirate of Dubai.
The bulletin explained that the “Representative Office, which will be operated under a National Agency agreement with Omeir Investments, will allow ACE to conduct market research and development activity in the UAE, with a view to developing its Property & Casualty business in the country. It will also act as a liaison office for ACE’s multinational clients in Dubai. The office is expected to be fully operational by the end of September 2008.”
ACE announced that Mark Quinn has been named as Country Manager, UAE. He previously served as Sr. VP – Global Property with ACE USA, and has considerable industry experience most especially in the areas of property, construction and power generation insurance.
Quinn will report to Giles Ward, Regional Managing Director, Middle East & North Africa, and will be responsible for developing ACE’s representation and market presence in the UAE.
