Bermuda-based Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. announced the appointment of Lauren Kent as Senior Underwriting Manager and Head of Reinsurance for Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited in London.
She has 18 years of industry experience including five years with Endurance, where she has been a Casualty Treaty Underwriter in both the United States and London offices, contributing to the expansion of Endurance’s specialty reinsurance portfolios.
Kent held roles in claims management at NAC Re and Aetna, prior to joining ERC in 1997. At ERC, she held several positions in both claims management and treaty underwriting, and was appointed Vice President, Treaty Underwriting in 2001. She joined Endurance in 2003 as Vice President, Treaty Underwriting in New York, transferring to Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited in London in 2006.
Hans-Joachim Guenther, Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Reinsurance for Europe and Asia, expressed confidence in Kent’s abilities and experience. William Jewett, CEO of Endurance Worldwide Reinsurance, indicated he was pleased with her “expanded role.” He added that Endurance’s “London reinsurance operation continues to be a critical component in our global reinsurance strategy.”
