Marsh announced the appointment of Judith Cooper as a Client Executive in its UK Real Estate Practice. She will help drive Marsh’s new business development in the commercial property and real estate sector and manage key client accounts.
Cooper joins Marsh from GPT Halverton Ltd, a fund and asset management company which offers investors access to the European real estate market. Prior to her current tenure, Ms Cooper held a number of senior client director positions specializing in real estate within the insurance sector, with responsibility for property clients and managing agents both in the UK and worldwide.
Nigel Salisbury, Head of Marsh’s Real Estate Practice in the UK, noted: “The global recession has had a profound effect on the real estate and commercial property sector over the past 12 months. However, the situation is by no means all gloom. By leveraging their risk and insurance programs companies can gain a commercial advantage and place themselves in a stronger position to capitalize on future opportunities. He added that Cooper will play a “pivotal role in helping clients optimize their risk and insurance programs, and expanding our new business both in the UK and overseas.”
