Insurance brokerage and risk management consulting firm Beecher Carlson has appointed Robin Mehta as Executive Managing Director. He joins Beecher Carlson to lead the Bermuda office operations, including its Captive practice.
Mehta will “continue to expand the Bermuda brokerage business utilizing Beecher Carlson’s mission to allow clients to benefit from industry specialization, expertise in analytics and risk modeling, and unmatched customer service,” said the bulletin
It also noted Mehta’s experience. He began his career in Bermuda with Ernst and Young and then worked in the captive, brokerage and financial areas of the insurance/reinsurance industry. Prior to joining the team at Beecher Carlson, he built his leadership profile as the President of Inter-Ocean Reinsurance Company and more recently as the CFO/COO of Hiscox Insurance Company (Bermuda) Ltd.
Steve Denton, President of Beecher Carlson noted Mehta’s extensive Bermuda experience, and indicated that “his alternative risk and captive management experience will be invaluable to our current and future clients.”
Mehta is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Canada, with a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Mehta plans to combine his understanding of the insurance industry with his leadership skills and international proficiency to lead the growth of Beecher Carlson’s Bermuda operations.
