Willis Appoints Damiron to Head Mexican Retail Operations

Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings, has appointed Hilaire Damiron as the new CEO of Willis Mexico, effective immediately. He has been serving as the interim CEO since August 2009. Damiron will “lead Willis Mexico’s retail operation and drive growth in this important region,” said the bulletin. He will report to Vic Krauze, President and COO of Willis North America.

Damiron joined Willis in 2006 as Chief Commercial Officer for Willis Brazil. In 2008 he became Chief Commercial Officer for Willis Latin America. Later in 2008, Damiron transferred from Brazil to Mexico to serve as P&C Leader for Willis Mexico, where he achieved outstanding results.

Krauze noted Damiron’s “long track record of success and strong leadership,” which he said would “help drive breakout growth for this critical platform, while reinforcing Willis’s position in the Mexican market.”

Headquartered in Mexico City, Willis Mexico also has locations in Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Ciudad Juarez. Willis Mexico extends the reach of Willis North America across the continent and reflects the growing economic link between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
