RSA Appoints Colahan as New Hong Kong Chief Executive

April 5, 2011

RSA announced the appointment of Chris Colahan as its new Chief executive in Hong Kong. He previously served as country manager of RSA’s retail business in Singapore, and will replace Chris Dooley, who is moving to the UAE to be RSA’s Chief Executive for that market.

Paul Whittaker, Chief Executive Emerging Markets, welcomed Colahan to his new position, adding that “our strong focus on leadership development and succession planning has resulted in an internal promotion.” Colahan has “been with RSA for six years now, and I’m sure he will be a great asset for our growing Hong Kong business.”

He joined RSA in 2005, starting in Group Strategy in London before accepting a position as Regional Manager of Strategy and Change for Asia & Middle East. After several years he moved to become the Singapore Country Manager for Retail, before accepting his current position.

Elliott Hill, currently General Counsel for RSA’s Emerging Markets division, will take over from Colahan in Singapore. He is a qualified solicitor [attorney], “who has spent the last five years with RSA, focusing on the strategic agenda in Emerging Markets across mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance, as well as his core legal and compliance responsibilities,” said the bulletin. “He is also a graduate of the RSA’s Executive Development Program.”
