MAPFRE ASISTENCIA, a subsidiary company of Spain’s MAPFRE Group, and MIDDLESEA INSURANCE MIDDLESEA ASSIST, have formed a joint venture to operate in Malta, following an agreement between MAPFRE ASISTENCIA and MIDDLESEA INSURANCE, MAPFRE INTERNACIONAL’s direct insurance company operating in the country.
The bulletin said “MIDDLESEA ASSIST offers roadside and home assistance services in the country. Furthermore, this company will support MIDDLESEA INSURANCE’s activity and it will extend its suite of products with GAP, Mechanical Breakdown Warranty and PPI, among other products.”
MAPFRE ASISTENCIA is a MAPFRE Group subsidiary specializing in Assistance and Specialty Risks. It has a direct presence in 43 countries, and operates in 84 markets with a “portfolio of nearly 1,600 corporate clients,” the bulletin explained.
