Faure Joins Endurance as CEO-Global Reinsurance

Bermuda-based Endurance Specialty Holdings announced that Jerome Faure will be joining the company on March 11, 2013 as CEO, Global Reinsurance. He will be responsible for Endurance’s North America, Bermuda and international reinsurance operations.

Faure has held a number of senior underwriting and reinsurance management roles over the last 25 years. He has led the successful growth of specialty reinsurance operations in each of the major insurance markets around the world.

Endurance CEO David Cash described Faure as “highly regarded in the reinsurance industry for his ability to strategically build businesses across the full breadth of underwriting products. His extensive international experience and relationships will be a welcome addition to our leadership team and we look forward to working with Jerome to expand Endurance’s global reinsurance footprint.”

Faure’s senior underwriting and management positions include a number of global reinsurance companies. Most recently, he was a Partner in ILS Capital Management in Bermuda focused on Insurance Linked Securities, Industry Loss Warranties and collateralized reinsurance.

Prior to that, he served as Director and Chief Underwriting Officer for Tokio Millennium Re, Ltd. where he managed their Bermuda-based reinsurance operations offering a range of U.S. and international products.

He started his reinsurance career at the SCOR Group, progressing through a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Paris, Tokyo, London and New York. He became President & Chief Executive Officer of SCOR US Corporation and a member of the SCOR Group Executive Committee responsible for worldwide Property & Casualty.

Faure holds B.S. degrees from ENSTA Paris, and INSTN Saclay France, and a M.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois.
