Miller Insurance Continues Expansion in France; Hires 3 Reinsurance Execs

UK-based Miller Insurance Services announced that it has increased its presence in the French market with the hiring of three senior reinsurance executives: Stéphane Nadjar, Eric Le Mercier and Emmanuel Figuereau.

James Geffen, Head of Reinsurance and Board Member at Miller, said the three would “help drive our continued expansion in France which is in line with our European growth strategy.”

Nadjar has 25 years of (re)insurance broking and underwriting experience. Before joining Miller he was at Willis Re in Paris (formerly Gras Savoye) for 13 years where he was Commercial Director and a member of the management board. He will be responsible for implementing Miller’s strategy in France and producing new reinsurance business.

Le Mercier has worked in the (re)insurance industry for 17 years with particular expertise in risk transfer and capital management solutions. He has joined Miller from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty/Allianz Risk Transfer where he was Head of Corporate Solutions/Alternative Risk Transfer. he will be working to grow Miller’s book of treaty business, including structured reinsurance clients.

Figuereau is a qualified Actuary and has worked in the (re)insurance industry for 23 years. He will help develop Miller’s portfolio in France and provide analytics to its client base. He previously spent eight years at Willis Re (formerly Gras Savoye) in Paris where he was Director of Analytics, client executive and a member of the management board.

Miller’s announcement noted that it has “increased its reinsurance team internationally by 50 percent in three years. More hires to its reinsurance business will be made in the near future and announcements will follow in the coming weeks.”
