Lloyd’s List Joins Containerisation International for Shipping Intelligence

April 4, 2013

Two important shipping industry publications – Lloyd’s List and Containerisation International – have come together on one website in order to provide subscribers with a “one-stop-shop for news, analysis and market intelligence in the containers sector.”

Adam Smallman, Head of Content, Lloyd’s List Group, said the “enhancement will provide all Lloyd’s List and Containerisation International subscribers with one website and one subscription for all containers coverage.

“Whether users are at their desks or on the move they can get the latest updates, analysis and intelligence on competitors, trade, investment, regulation, fleet trends, deployment and ports. Subscribers to both publications will gain immense value from this change and it strengthens the website’s offer considerably.”

The bulletin also indicated that one of the major benefits to existing customers of both products is that “they will now have access to detailed news and analysis from across the shipping and containers markets in addition to their existing subscriptions, all in one place. This improves decision-making capabilities by making an unrivalled bank of information available at the touch of a button.

“Customers also will be able to benefit from iPhone and iPad apps so that they can access this wealth of information anytime, anyplace.”

Smallman pointed out that each publication is well known for its reports concerning the container shipping industry, and that each one “provides news, features and statistical analysis of every aspect of the business, from ship and terminal operations, logistics and freight forwarding to regulation, technical development and environmental issues.”

“Journalists on both publications have unrivalled access to industry leaders and power brokers,” he added. “Combining the editorial content into a single container channel via the Lloyd’s List website will give subscribers access to the most comprehensive coverage of the business available anywhere on the planet.”
