Strong to Head XL’s New Global Programs Center of Excellence

XL Group announced the creation of a new Global Programs Center of Excellence and welcomed Kevin Strong as its Global Programs Manager. He will lead a team comprised of professionals from Asia, Europe and North America, which “will work with experts across the Insurance segment to make sure XL Group’s global programs and services continue to respond to the changing needs of clients and brokers around the world,” said the bulletin.

Seraina Maag, Chief Executive of XL Group’s North America P&C insurance business, commented: “With the Global Programs Center of Excellence, we are taking an important next step to bring together this expertise in one global team. They are mandated to drive best practices and standardization to effectively deliver tailored, compliant programs and further improve the already excellent level of service we provide in this area. We are excited about Kevin joining XL Group in this new role. He brings to the organization an extensive knowledge and proven success in the multinational insurance segment.”

Jason Harris, Chief Executive of XL Group’s International P&C insurance business, explained that out of the “global programs we lead, approximately one third already have one or more policies in Asia and/or Latin America. We believe that this number will quickly increase as more large corporate and middle market companies look to generate revenue in new markets. Our Global Programs Center of Excellence will help us to better support our clients and brokers across every step, whether it is policy issuance, collections or claims management.”

Strong joins XL Group from Aon Risk Services in New York where he designed and implemented complex international risk management, cash flow and insurance programs for both domestic and international corporations. Prior to his AON tenure, he worked for Marsh USA where he coordinated global servicing for numerous global Fortune 500 clients. Named one of Risk & Insurance’s Power Brokers in 2012, he began his insurance career more than a decade ago with State Farm Insurance.

Strong is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in finance. He is based in New York and reports to Alfred Bergbauer, Head of Multinational Casualty in North America.
