ACE Group announced the appointment of Geoff Russell as Regional Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter, UK and Ireland, effective immediately. The appointment is part of the company’s investment in “expanding its underwriting capabilities throughout its network of regional offices.”
In the newly-created role, Russell “will play an integral part in the financial management and future development of ACE’s significant Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance portfolio throughout the UK and Ireland,” said the announcement. “He will also have responsibility for developing ACE’s proposition in new and emerging areas of PI, such as cyber, technology and media.
Russell has 12 years of PI underwriting experience. He joins ACE from AIG where he started in 2007 as PI Underwriter before being promoted to Senior PI Underwriter and latterly to Assistant Vice President PI, UK Regions. He started his career as a PI broker at Griffiths & Armour.
Russell is based in Manchester and reports to Steve Driscoll, Product Line Head, UK & Ireland Professional Indemnity, ACE Global Markets, who noted: “Professional indemnity is a key product line, which complements ACE’s comprehensive property and casualty proposition already offered throughout our network of offices.”
