Ironshore Adds Financial Institutions Practice

March 19, 2014

Ironshore Inc. has added a new global practice focused on financial institutions and expanded its industry leadership structure to address the select, industry-specific insurance market risk. Christopher Brown of Ironshore’s Pembroke Managing Agency, based in London, has been named practice leader for the Financial Institutions’ industry sector.  Brown will be responsible for developing integrated insurance products for the sector in concert with Ironshore’s team of underwriting specialists.

Brown has worked with underwriting risks within this specialty industry sector for more than 25 years.  He is the deputy active underwriter of Ironshore’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000 and is a board director of Pembroke Managing Agency Limited.

Brown began his career in 1985 and for 10 years was a specialty lines broker in the London market.  He has since spent 19 years of his career to underwriting financial institutions in both the Lloyd’s and company markets.

Ironshore’s industry practice structure focuses on specific industry sectors that represent growth drivers within its global platform; each of which is led by a selected Ironshore business leader.  Ironshore’s global industry practice groups also include Energy, Construction, and Personal Lines.
