AIG Appoints McNamee as UK Managing Director

AIG in Europe announced the appointment of Jacqueline McNamee as Managing Director, UK Zone, reporting to Anthony Baldwin, Managing Director and Head of Distribution, EMEA. She is replacing Nicolas Aubert, who has become COO of EMEA, reporting to Seraina Maag, president of AIG’s EMEA Region.

Baldwin commented: “The UK is an important market for AIG, and we are delighted that Jacqueline will be leading the team. Her role will be to work closely with the UK product leaders, Distribution and the Chief Operating Officer to focus on market-facing activities and the execution of the UK business strategies.”

McNamee responded that she is “proud to lead the UK business; citing the “wealth of expertise and experience in what is a large and dynamic market,” of the UK team. “Their achievements over the past few years speak for themselves. My priorities will be to maintain our strategy of focusing on the UK domestic and International London markets in Commercial Lines, developing our portfolio underwriting capabilities and supporting the evolution of Consumer Lines.”

McNamee was most recently Executive Director for AIG’s Commercial Lines business in the UK. Before this she was the Regional Profit Centre manager for Financial Lines in Europe. She joined AIG in 1997 and, after five years in Management Liabilities Underwriting She joined AIG in 1997 and, after five years in Management Liabilities Underwriting in Dublin and London, she transferred to Financial Lines in the US.
