Kiln, Tokio Marine Europe Rebrand as Tokio Marine Kiln

November 10, 2014

Kiln and Tokio Marine Europe announced that they have “sealed their union today by formally rebranding as Tokio Marine Kiln,” concentrating on international specialist and corporate insurance.

The newly combined business, formed in January this year, is now headquartered at the “Walkie Talkie” building, 20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3BY.

Group CEO of Tokio Marine Kiln, Charles Franks, said: “Today is a milestone in the development of Kiln and Tokio Marine as we join under a single brand to deliver continued profitable growth.

“As Tokio Marine Kiln, we will fulfil our clients’ needs by offering a broader range of products and services, significant financial strength, an empowered talent pool and greater flexibility through having both a Lloyd’s and Company platform.”

He added that uniting Kiln and Tokio Marine Europe under a single brand “enables us to capitalize on the global scale and financial strength of our parent, one of the largest insurance groups in the world, at a time when scale, distribution and relevance are critical differentiators.

“For our clients, it is ‘business as usual’ and we remain committed to the strong, longstanding relationships we have harnessed over many years, with empowered underwriting at our core.”

The announcement also noted that “Tokio Millennium Re (UK) Ltd, a Tokio Marine Group subsidiary company, which has an operation in London, is not affected by this change and will continue to follow its own strategy, reporting to a different management team in Zurich.”
