I thought only man could affect climate change. If just one ocean can have an effect – warm, cold or otherwise — why is “man” the only agent of change discussed by the climate brown shirts?

Maybe man’s impact is what we hear about most often because of all the factors contributing to climate change, man’s impact is the only piece of the puzzle we can do anything about. Acknowledging natural variations (which I do) does not logically imply that we should ignore the things we can control.

I remember reading an article in I believe it was Discover magazine back in the late 70s that we were headed for another ice age and I still believe we are headed for another ice age. The Earth has been going though its cycles for millions of years and ice has come and gone on this plant many times over. There was more CO2 on this planet long before man ever showed up and things were just fine.

I think that “just fine” is a relative term. The earth will be “just fine” with a sea level rise of 10, 20, even 50 feet or more. Now that man has “showed up”, we may not be fine with that…

The biggest factor driving anthropogenic climate change is the desire for wealth and political power. Ask Algore.

You science denying boobs crack me up.

Oh, and keep campaigning against Al Gore. That’s a great strategy.
