Validus Holdings Promotes 3 Underwriting Execs in Bermuda

Validus Reinsurance, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Validus Holdings, Ltd. has announced a number of underwriting promotions in its Bermuda office, “strengthening the capabilities and breadth of its global reinsurance team.”

The promotions were detailed as follows:
— Chris Estwanik, currently Assistant Vice President, U.S. Property Underwriter, has been promoted to Vice President, U.S. Property Underwriter
— Mark Robinson, currently Assistant Vice President, International Property Underwriter, has been promoted to Vice President, International Property Underwriter
— Cameron Maffit, currently Specialty & Marine Underwriter, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Specialty & Marine Underwriter

Validus Re noted that Estwanik has “been an integral part of the U.S. Property Underwriting team since joining Validus Re as an Analyst in 2007.” He holds the Associate of Reinsurance (ARe) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations. He is also an active member of the Bermuda CPCU Society and the Bermuda Independent Underwriters Association.

Robinson joined Validus in 2009 and has since developed into a key member of the International underwriting team in Bermuda. He also holds ARe and CPCU designations.

Maffit has been with Validus since 2010, where he began his career as a Reserving Actuary, and was most recently a Specialty & Marine Underwriter. Cameron is also an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
