Sommerrock Joins Geneva Ass’n. as Deputy Secretary Gen’l. – Insight Head

The Geneva Association announced the appointment of Dr. Fabian Sommerrock as Deputy Secretary General and Head of Insight. He joins the Association from Roland Berger Strategy Consultants where he was a principal at the Roland Berger Financial Services Competence Center and member of their management team in Switzerland.

The bulletin also noted that “over the last 10 years Dr. Sommerrock has managed important projects for clients in the private and public insurance sectors. He is an expert in strategy development, transformation, post-merger integration and digitalization as well as reorganization and efficiency improvements.”

Prior to joining Roland Berger, he studied Business Administration at the University of Mannheim (Dipl.-Kaufmann) and Economic Policy at American University in Washington D.C. Fabian received his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. pol.) in Economics and Social Science from Kassel University. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of St. Gallen.

Anna Maria D’Hulster, Secretary General of The Geneva Association, welcomed Dr.Sommerrock; adding that his “experience in advising a wide range of insurers from various geographies on their strategic priorities will be instrumental in the next phase of The Geneva Association’s development. I look forward to the important contributions he will make to our insight strategy.”
