UK’s RSA Forms Partnership with Wipro to Provide IT Infrastructure

February 5, 2016

UK-based RSA announced a new, seven-year partnership with Wipro Ltd. to deliver its IT infrastructure requirements across the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Bangalore, India-headquartered Wirpo, a global information technology, consulting and business process services company, will provide infrastructure for mainframe, mid-range, storage, cloud and end user services in addition to a multilingual service desk for RSA employees in all the regions enabling pan-European standardization, improved end-to-end responsibility and a platform for business-led collaboration.

This agreement follows a 10-month sourcing program, which included 20 bidders, and reflects RSA’s aim to drive benefits through the consolidation of services across its regional businesses.

“We are delighted to partner with Wipro to provide our IT infrastructure needs across UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. Throughout the selection process, Wipro was a front runner because of its technical excellence and customer centricity,” said Darren Price, group CIO, RSA.

“This partnership is a major step forward in our group technology strategy enabling us to provide a market-leading, agile, affordable and secure infrastructure platform which supports profitable growth and enables our digital future,” he added.

RSA said it will continue to work with CGI in Canada, which provides similar IT infrastructure services.
