Howell Named Regional CEO of Zurich in Asia Pacific

Zurich announced the appointment of Jack Howell, (46, U.S. citizen) to the role of regional chief executive officer of Zurich in Asia Pacific, effective Sept. 1, 2016. In his role he will report to Mario Greco, group chief executive officer of Zurich Insurance Group, and will be based in Hong Kong.

Stuart Spencer, who holds the position of regional CEO of Zurich in Asia Pacific ad interim, will remain in the region working closely with Howell.

Howell joins Zurich from Generali, where he held the role of regional officer for Asia since early 2015. He brings over 20 years of industry knowledge and a successful track record in managing insurance businesses in the Asia Pacific region, including CEO positions in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia at AIG and Prudential.

Howell is a graduate of the Tufts University in Quantitative Economics, and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
