JLT Re, the London-based reinsurance broker and consultant, announced the appointment of Jonathan (Jo) Garnett as managing director, Malaysia, subject to regulatory approvals.
Garnett will be based in JLT Re’s Kuala Lumpur office and will report to Stuart Beatty, CEO, JLT Re APAC.
In this new role, Garnett will be leading JLT Re’s recently established Malaysian business, building a team to service domestic carriers in Malaysia. He will also be responsible for helping grow JLT Re’s footprint in the wider Asia Pacific region. Garnett has over 30 years of re/insurance experience, 19 of which were based in Malaysia.
