Hong Kong-Based Latitude Brokers Launches P&I Club Comparison Tool

November 29, 2016

Latitude Brokers, the Asia-based marine insurance specialist, has launched PILOT, an online protection & indemnity (P&I) club comparison tool.

In time for the 2017 P&I renewal season, PILOT distills critical information for each club in the International Group (IG) “into an efficient, live and interactive format allowing owners to easily compare their club’s performance, and download individually designed reports,” Latitude said in a statement.

“Our clients expected us to do something different to the traditional publications that are quickly out of date and rarely read in detail. Seeing club data in this medium makes such a difference,” said Vanessa Toucas, founding partner.

Charles D’Alton, founding partner, commented: “PILOT has been very well received by the market and is just one element that demonstrates our approach. It is so much more user friendly and means clients can focus on the information that is key to them, whilst being certain that it is up to date.”

PILOT is constantly updated with the latest P&I club financial information, along with historical data, S&P ratings and membership overviews, the company said.

PILOT includes all the International Group club data and Latitude is currently working on the next version which will include non-IG clubs and specialist charterers liability underwriters.
