Technology Risk Mgmt Association TechAssure Names New Member in Germany

TechAssure, the international nonprofit association of insurance and risk management experts for technology-related risks, has named German insurance brokerage BüchnerBarella as a new member, effective immediately.

Headquartered in Giessen, Germany, BüchnerBarella is an independent, full-service insurance brokerage firm that specializes in assisting middle-market industry clients from a variety of industries, including technology, life sciences and automotive, with their insurance needs.

“Germany is the largest economy in Europe and is considered one of the leading hubs in Europe for emerging technology and venture-backed companies,” said TechAssure Executive Director Garrett Droege. “BüchnerBarella has a stellar reputation among the industry and we are excited to have them represent TechAssure in this region.”

BüchnerBarella was founded in 1922 and has 13 locations throughout Germany. International Business Director Tanja Merkel will serve on TechAssure’s board of directors and be the chief point of contact for the region. With the addition of BüchnerBarella, TechAssure increases its reach into Europe and now has five members serving the European market.
