Acordia Inc., an insurance broker based in Chicago and a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Company, recently confirmed the acquisition of Risk Management Services Inc., a single-office brokerage firm located in Morristown, Tenn.
Acordia also announced an agreement with San Diego-based ConfirmNet, the developer of CertificatesNow insurance certificate service, to provide Accordia’s branches and its commercial clients with a convenient certificate service.
The acquisition of Risk Management Services closed in December 2001. Risk Management Services, which specializes in property and casualty insurance, has been serving clients in Eastern Tennessee since 1951. The company will continue to operate from its current location.
Under the agreement with ConfirmNet, that company will provide Acordia’s many branch operations with a turnkey subscription to Certificates Now. Acordia’s business clients can then take advantage of the service to streamline certificate workflows in an application service provider environment.
