PGA Pro Jason Bohn Joins Mutual of Omaha’s Birdies for Charity Effort

April 4, 2006

PGA Tour pro Jason Bohn has a new incentive to sink those birdie and eagle putts. Nebraska-based Mutual of Omaha will match Bohn’s contributions to his Birdies for Charity effort, with the company donating $50 for each birdie and $100 for each eagle he scores during 2006 PGA Tour events.

Funds raised through Bohn’s Birdies for Charity effort will go to Advocates for Children, which offers a wide range of services for children and youth in northwest Georgia. Based in Cartersville, Ga., Advocates for Children provides short-term shelter for abused and neglected children as well as mentoring, advocacy, family counseling and other services designed to meet the needs of children and families in northwest Georgia.

“Mutual of Omaha is excited to partner with Jason in raising funds to help meet the needs of young people, a cause that is very important to our company and our associates. This will bring special meaning to Jason’s success on the PGA Tour,” said John Hildenbiddle, Mutual of Omaha senior vice president of Brand Management and Public Relations.

“I am thrilled to have Mutual of Omaha support this initiative and I am proud to have them as my sponsor on the PGA Tour,” Bohn said. “They have a great team and I know they are cheering for every birdie and eagle.”

Bohn is in his third season on the PGA Tour. In 2005, his second season on the tour, he picked up first, second and third place finishes, winning the B.C. Open, placing second in the Deutsche Bank Championship and placing third in the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. He and his family live in Acworth, Ga.

Mutual of Omaha identifies itself as a full-service, multi-line organization providing insurance and financial products for individuals, businesses and groups throughout the United States. A respected American brand, Mutual of Omaha sponsors Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom on the Animal Planet network. It also is a primary sponsor of USA Swimming and presents the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip and Putt junior golf skills competition in more than 100 cities each year.
