Assurance Agency, Ltd., recently announced the recipients of its 2006 insurance college scholarship program. Illinois State University students Matt Britton and Christopher Switzer were each presented with a $1,000 scholarship during a ceremony held for the university’s Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services.
Each year the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services selects two qualified candidates to receive Assurance’s scholarship, the Assurance written statement said. Pam Koller, a current Assurance employee and graduate of the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services, presented the scholarships during a ceremony held at the Doubletree Hotel in Bloomington, Ill. Insurance professionals from across the state gathered for dinner and an opportunity to meet the recipients of their organizations’ scholarships at this ceremony.
As members of the university’s senior class, Christopher Switzer, a resident of Morton, Ill. and Matt Britton, a resident of Colfax, Ill. have participated in numerous Katie School events and industry-related extra curricular activities. Both are expected to graduate this year.
