Rissmeyer Joins Ohio Grange as Vice President Human Resources

October 25, 2006

Rob Rissmeyer has assumed the role of vice president of human resources operations for Grange Insurance. Rissmeyer will succeed current human resources VP Bob Holtsberry when he retires Jan. 5, 2007.

Rissmeyer comes to Grange from Dublin, Ohio-based CompManagement, where he served as vice president of human resources. He brings to Grange more than 19 years of human resources and industry experience, having formerly worked for Motorists and MetLife.

In his new position, Rissmeyer will be responsible for recruiting talent, maintaining Grange’s low turnover rate, supporting employee training and development and cultivating employee culture with a particular focus on Grange’s core values – Integrity, Ownership, Candor, Teamwork and “Do the Right Thing.”

According to Grange President and CEO Phil Urban, the human resources goal is simple. “We strive to find the right people, then treat them well and keep them challenged so we can retain them,” he said. “With a current turnover rate of less than 10 percent, the bar is set pretty high – but we know Rob will do a great job based upon his experience and proven expertise in other positions right here in Central Ohio.”

Grange Mutual Casualty Group, based in Columbus, Ohio, identifies itself as a $1 billion insurance and financial services provider.
