Grange Mutual Casualty Company recently announced that its policyholders have elected Douglas Buth to its Board of Directors. Chairman Emeritus Edward Billman also announced his retirement from the Grange Board. Both announcements were made during the company’s annual policyholders’ meeting.
“On behalf of Grange, we’d like to thank Ed for his service to the company,” said Michael V. Parrott, Grange Mutual Casualty Board chairman. “During the last 20 years, Ed has provided solid leadership to the company and to his fellow board members. He should be proud his tenure is marked by a period of growth and expansion at Grange.”
New board member Buth, whose term on the Grange Board runs through 2011, was formerly chairman, CEO and president of Appleton Papers, Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty coated papers. He retired in June 2005 after serving the company for 25 years.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Buth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and was a member of Notre Dame’s 1973 National Championship football team. He spent three years with PriceWaterhouse before joining BATUS, Appleton’s parent company, in 1980.
Buth also is a member of the Board of Directors of Integrity Mutual Insurance Co., a Grange affiliated company, Trek Bicycle Corp., and Bradner Central and QuadGraphics.
