In preparation for another successful chapter year, the Kansas City Chapter of the CPCU Society (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters) recently elected its 2008-2009 officers.
Beginning May 12, 2008, Bill West, CPCU, of Olathe, Underwriting manager for Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange, will assume the role of chapter president. Active in both the insurance industry and the CPCU Society, West has served in various offices of the local Society chapter, as well as several community and church boards.
Other newly-elected chapter officers include: President-elect David Keheler, CPCU, of the Haas & Wilkerson brokerage firm; Vice President John Van de Voort, CPCU with the Travelers Insurance Co.; and Secretary/treasurer Carl Dodson CPCU with Swiss Re.
The CPCU Society, with more than 28,000 members and 151 chapters, is the leading organization of professionals in the property and casualty insurance industry.
