Minneapolis-based the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP), has named Michael D. Carr as the organizations’ new executive director.
In his over 20 years of law practice, Michael Carr is best known for
his ground-breaking expertise in the areas of workers’ compensation
subrogation and employer liability. He has presented at numerous seminars and authored numerous articles for lawyers, insurance groups and self-insureds, primarily on litigation, contracts, insurance, employment and workers’ compensation subrogation.
Carr was an investigator for the Fourth Judicial District Legal Ethics Board and recently joined the Professionalism Committee of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has also served as a mediator or a neutral arbitrator in dozens of cases. Before taking an “of counsel” position to focus on non-profit work, he was one of only 31 lawyers of the over 16,000 lawyers in Minnesota who was nominated and voted by his peers to be a Super Lawyer in the “General Litigation” category by Minnesota Law & Politics and Minneapolis-St. Paul magazines.
