Lombard, Ill.-based insurance services firm, Norman-Spencer International Inc., and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) are partnering to provide professional errors and omissions (E&O) insurance coverage for roofing consultants and roofing contractors.
The roofing consultant can find traditional architects and engineers (A&E) coverage recognizing their professional services defined broadly as roofing consultant with coverage for bodily injury and property damage starting at $2,010.
The roofing contractor can also find traditional professional liability insurance in a miscellaneous form. The program recognizes that more and more contractors are involved in design and in sub-contracting design, with the attendant vicarious liability.
The miscellaneous form excludes bodily and injury; however, the A&E form is also available to the contractor where needed. Premium starts at $1,675.
NRCA members and nonmembers alike are welcome, as well as start-up companies.
The new P.ROOF (Professional Roofing Liability) insurance program is underwritten by an “A+” A.M. Best carrier with national credibility and longevity and is available now.
