Froment Named Deputy Director of Ohio Insurance Department

Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor has named Jillian Froment the department’s deputy director. Froment previously served as assistant director/chief administrative officer and was responsible for fiscal, human resources, information technology, communications and consumer affairs.

In her new position she will lead the day-to-day operations of the insurance department.

Froment has more than 14 years of public sector and executive experience with a reputation for streamlining organizations and realizing operational efficiencies. She came to OID from the City of Marysville where she was the city administrator and was responsible for the smooth and efficient management of all municipal services and more than 150 employees.

Prior to that, she was the first executive director for the eTech Ohio Commission, an agency created under her leadership as she consolidated two separate state agencies to more efficiently serve Ohio’s citizens. Additionally, Froment has served as the assistant deputy director and general counsel in the Office of Collective Bargaining and as a compliance officer for the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
