Farrah Schubmehl has joined the property practice group in Swett & Crawford’s Chicago office to broker a broad range of specialty exposures.
Schubmehl has worked as an underwriter and broker in both the retail and wholesale segments of the insurance industry. She comes to Swett & Crawford from the Willis North America Nashville, Tenn., office where she placed coverage for complex property and catastrophe exposures in the United States and abroad.
She also previously served as assistant vice president of underwriting for Mid Continent Casualty Insurance in Tulsa, Okla., and as a production underwriting manager for Deep South Surplus of Tennessee, a managing general agency. Her career began in 1999 with Chubb Group where she served as an underwriter and practice leader for their property, machinery and marine practice.
