Lansing, Mich.-based workers’ compensation insurer, Accident Fund Insurance Co. of America, has selected Cambridge Underwriters Ltd. of Livonia, Mich., as its 2011 Agency of the Year.
“Cambridge has been a great partner in writing a sizable amount of business with us,” Accident Fund President Mike Britt said in announcing the award. Britt added that Cambridge Underwriters’ “results have stood out among Michigan’s Southeast region for many years, even through some very tough economic times, making them a natural pick as our 2011 Agency of the Year.”
Established in 1974, Cambridge Underwriters has been ranked as one of the largest commercial insurance agencies in Michigan. The agency attributes its success to the ability their team of insurance attorneys, counselors and brokers has in generating creative insurance programs for their clients.
Ken Hale, chairman of Cambridge Underwriters, praised Accident Fund and its employees, stating: “We have been in business since 1974, and have done business with Accident Fund since 1974, and it has been an exceptional experience. Accident Fund is unlike any other insurance company that we do business with and we really appreciate this honor and we appreciate the opportunity to place business with Accident Fund on behalf of our clients.”
