ebix.com has signed an agreement with About, Inc. to service the insurance needs of About’s users. The agreement, designed to drive traffic to the co-branded Insurance Center on About.com, comprises content integration, co-branding, sponsorship and advertising.
Media Metrix recently ranked About.com as the 6th largest Web Property with 21.2 million unique visitors a month. Under the terms of the agreement, About will make the Ebix.com co-branded site available to users from a number of relevant channels, such as auto, health, money, real estate and family, as well as from many of About’s targeted GuideSites.
Additionally, About will deliver advertising and sponsorship media to drive traffic into the co-branded insurance center, in order to offer consumers the option to buy insurance using ebix.com’s wide variety of partner carriers.
