Dearborn Financial Services, a Kaplan Professional Company, has launched its Online Proctoring Support System, a single source for CE training and compliance for licensed insurance professionals. Chicago-based Dearborn said the online proctoring system enables insurance professionals in proctor-mandated states to take Dearborn’s state-approved online CE courses and online CE exams, rather than take a printed exam.
The proctor’s identifying details will be automatically stored online in Dearborn’s database, rather than on a printed form, should a state auditor require more information. The company expects the online system to benefit more than 350,000 licensed agents in the approved 16 states.
As of December, Dearborn has received approvals for its Online Proctoring Support System from the state insurance departments in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Approvals from additional states are expected in the near future.
In addition, insurance professionals in 18 states that do not require proctoring can already take Dearborn’s approved online CE courses and exams for credit.
These states include Alaska, California, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Washington.
