Insurity, a ChoicePoint® company, has signed a licensing agreement with W.J. Cox Associates Inc. for its Commercial Intellisys policy processing system. Provided through Insurity’s outsourcing services division, W.J. Cox will access Commercial Intellisys via the Internet to rate and process policies for commercial automobile and commercial package coverage in six states.
“With multiple commercial lines in multiple states, we needed a system that could handle complex rating and processing and be up and running quickly,” Edward Wright, president of W.J. Cox, said. “We liked the rich functionality of Insurity’s system. Because Insurity can offer the system as an ASP model, it was convenient and cost-effective to implement. Our complete policy system now resides in their outsourcing center, and we’re pleased with the results.”
Commercial Intellisys provides commercial P&C policy rating, issuance, and statistical coding for all lines of business in all 50 states.
The system also provides MVRs, credit scores, telephone verification, and/or on- site surveys; logical information-ordering that allows underwriters to review initial information before requesting additional verification; and reference materials that provide information such as city-file features, NCCI manuals, NAIC codes, address verifications, and SICs.
