CNA Financial Corporation announced that, effective Aug. 26, James Lewis will become the new president and CEO of CNAProperty & Casualty Operations, CNA’s largest operating business.
In his new position, Lewis will be responsible for CNA’s worldwide Property & Casualty operations, global specialty lines, risk management, and portions of technology operations. He joined CNA in August 2001 as executive VP, U.S. Insurance Operations, for CNA Property & Casualty Operations.
Before joining CNA, Lewis was senior vice president, U.S. Field Operations at the St. Paul Companies.
During his nine years at St. Paul/USFG, he held the positions of regional president, Northeast Region; senior vice president, Personal Lines; and president, Small Commercial. He was with CIGNA in various marketing, underwriting and management positions for 17 years.
