InVEST, an education program to strengthen the insurance industry by attracting a large pool of qualified insurance recruits, is seeking items for its annual Silent Auction being held in conjunction with the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s Las Vegas InfoXchange Sept. 21-24. Proceeds from the auction will support scholarships awarded to high school and community college graduates of InVEST.
InVEST Chairman Jim Armitage noted, “Donating to the silent auction demonstrates a commitment to perpetuating the insurance industry with bright young talent. We are pleased with the number of generous donations received thus far, and we’d like to see this momentum continue. We can only succeed and advance the program with help from others who are passionate about securing the future of the industry.”
Among the auction items pledged so far by insurance carriers, agents, brokers, and industry vendors include a beach house getaway, collectible art, professional sporting event tickets, live Maine lobsters, and travel gift certificates. Donations will be accepted through July.
