Richard J. Maka has been named the new director of marketing at the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS), a national advisory organization that develops policy forms and rating information for U.S. property/casualty insurers.
Maka has more than 14 years of experience in insurance, and most recently served as senior vice president and marketing manager for Aon Corporation’s Financial & Professional Risk Solutions Inc. based in Chicago.
Previously, Maka worked as a directors and officers liability underwriter and as Midwest account manager for Aon’s Scarborough Division. Before joining Aon, he worked as a financial institution insurance producer for an agency in suburban Chicago.
Maka earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University of Chicago in 1990. Later that year he received his designation as an accredited advisor in Insurance.
