Great Central Insurance, a member of the Select Markets segment of San Antonio, Texas-based Argonaut Group Inc., announced it has been selected by the Minnesota Restaurant Association (MRA) to offer property and casualty insurance on an exclusive basis to its more than 1300 members.

“The MRA is excited by the opportunity to partner with a company that has dedicated itself to serving the needs of the restaurant industry for so many years,” said MRA executive vice president David Siegel. “Great Central has a strong track record of working with statewide restaurant associations. Our Board of Directors is confident that MRA members will benefit from the experience, broad coverage, and competitive products that Great Central offers.”

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Great Central,” said John Polak, president of Great Central. “The MRA is an exceptional trade organization with a long history of commitment and service to Minnesota’s restaurants and food service suppliers. This partnership will combine Great Central’s unique products and services with the solid portfolio of benefits currently provided by the MRA, enhancing both organizations.”

As the MRA’s endorsed provider, Great Central will offer its specialized restaurant package, commercial auto, and umbrella coverage to MRA members through a select network of agents statewide. Serving restaurateurs since 1934, Great Central provides insurance and risk management services to the restaurant and hotel/motel industry. Great Central said it is proud to be the endorsed carrier for the Minnesota Restaurant Association and other state restaurant associations nationwide.
