Darwin Professional Underwriters, Inc. is making available enhanced public entity errors and omissions (E&O) liability insurance products, with policies to address educators professional liability risks, police professional liability risks, and public official professional liability risks.
Educators, police, and public officials professional liability coverages are available on a surplus lines basis through Darwin Select Insurance Co. Limits of liability up to $5 million are available for public school districts (grades K-12), other educational entities, police departments, municipalities, and public entities/special service districts.
Darwin’s liability products include features such as defense expenses outside limits for all three segments (educators, police, and public officials), broad employment practices liability (EPL) coverage to include third-party exposures (with coverage for emotional distress), non-monetary relief coverage, supplemental payments coverage, and other industry-specific coverage benefits. In addition to the coverage elements, Darwin has also implemented a risk management program.
These new policies are available through Darwin’s public entity program partner, Professional Governmental Underwriters, Inc. (PGU).
