This would bring about less competition, not more.

If this legislation is passed, it would shut down ISO and NCCI.

Loss of rating groups like ISO and NCCI would drive out the smaller insurance companies who rely upon ISO and NCCI for rating information. This would mean that only the big boys would be able to afford the resources to price properly.

I see that the gang is up to its old tricks. When this passes, and it will, and companies that rely on collective data can no longer price properly. I hope the rates go through the roof. Starting with that bunch of fools in D.C.
    God help us!

too bad the Hurricane didn\’t hit Washington in 2005. It could have acted like a giant enema and floated all those legislative turds out to sea. I guess we can look on the bright side, If this goes thru and competitition is badly damaged, we will see rates go up and then our commissions will go up!

These idiots have no idea of the overall workings of the insurance industry, All anyone has to do is read their thought process, and you will immediately come to the conclusion that all they are doing is playing to constituents.

Woe is me, we need governmental intervention into the health system, donn\’t we all want scocialistic health care, sure we do. Woe is me, the poor folks who the insurance industry left aside after Katrina.

How about these idiots read the policies. and oh yes, let the courts decide, whether it is justified or not, what the intention of the contracts said, we\’ll simply let all losses be decided by the judiciary,

And while they\’re at it, they might as well continue down the path that they appear to be leading, lets\’ simply diminish collateral on all off shore operations, and we\’ll simply handle it ourselves through legislature. After all, don\’t we know what we\’re doing?

    Do we?

Spector doesn\’t know why the Act was originally passed?

Socialism\’s march is slow, steady and inevitable. Again, the big players win (those are the one\’s that fill these guy\’s pockets with $$$ anyway, right), the small guys (with ETHICS) lose, and competition and capitalism die a slow death?

    History is repeating itself folks……

    Greece, Rome, we\’re next.

But, If about 5 million marched on D.C. and demanded those idiots stand down, go home and replace with good and intelligent Americans,,,We win..
We know who the real enemy is and they live in D.C and other state capitols..

But I guess we are sheeple and will let the turds win due to our inaction.

RINO\’s? Really? Arlen and Trent? I don\’t know about that. They\’re pretty solid right. Don\’t hate \’em too bad just for this issue.

Arlen? are you kidding? I don\’t even think he qualifies as a RINO anymore. He might as well get it over with and put the big \”D\” by his name. As far as Trent Lott goes, he is the biggest ***** of them all. He already let the Senate Majority leader slip thru his hands because he wouldn\’t fight back. We need to get some good conservatives in their who have a set of balls big enough to handle the job. Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo come to mind. But theirs are probably smaller than Hillaries still!

No surprise. These are the same folks that lack the courage to either support the war or end it.

Thank God they spend their time in Washington and the variuos state capitals and stay our of our communites.

Happy President\’s Day fellow insurance industry business men and women! I was with my son yesterday and looked up all the previous presidents. I remember there was only one business man that held the awesome office. It\’s not too late to put a real business man in the White House again! Let\’s find one that really knows about our industry and support him (or her)! Then we\’ll hove nothing to complain about…

Didn\’t Ross Perot the wealthy businessman give it a try not once but twice? By the way I voted for him the first time. Maybe the 3rd time would be a charm.

Incredible to see Republicans and people who proclaim themsleves to be Conservatives voting to not abolish any Anti-Trust Exemptions. Let the Free Market reign! These companies just don’t have to really compete. It is a sad, sad day when the Party who proclaims Free Market beliefs suddenly starts to see members get cold feet when it comes time to take a stand.
