General Star Management Co. has introduced the Excess Auto Quick Quote Program, a new product that will be available to all its existing excess liability clients as of Feb. 4, 2008.
The program will provide capacity for small excess commercial auto liability only accounts at a more competitive minimum premium threshold. Under this new program, General Star plans to deliver quotes within six hours of receipt and clearance of the submission.
“Due to the basic nature of these risks, submissions will be underwritten and rated on an automated basis, without the involvement of our local branch underwriting staff. This allows us to pass those savings along to our customers,” says James Richardson, vice president of General Star.
Coverage is written on a non-admitted basis through General Star Indemnity Co. in all states except Connecticut, and through General Star National Insurance Co. in Connecticut. Both companies are rated A++ by A.M. Best and AAA by Standard & Poor’s.
