Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. appointed Orlando D. Ashford as senior vice president of human resources.
Ashford, whose appointment is effective Sept. 22, will work closely with key executives of MMC’s operating companies to examine compensation, diversity and inclusion, talent management and leadership development.
He joins MMC from the Coca-Cola Co., where he was most
recently group director of human resources for Eurasia and Africa. He joined Coca-Cola in 2005 as vice president of corporate center human resources and cultural transformation. In that role, he led the company’s global culture transformation, capability building and organizational development efforts. Je also reorganized and rebuilt its corporate center human resources team and headed company-wide cultural change efforts.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Ashford held positions with Motorola, the Delta Consulting Group (subsequently Mercer Delta Consulting), Ameritech and Andersen Consulting.
