The National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO) and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) have collaborated to offer educational opportunities to members of both associations.
Under the partnership, NAPSLO member companies and their employees will be offered special discounts and gain access to the PLUS Curriculum, a 23-module collection of professional liability training modules designed for adult learners, and other educational opportunities at its conference and seminars. Each module of the curriculum can be used as a stand-alone resource for professional liability specialists, a state-of-the-art training supplement for employees being introduced to professional liability, or a source of information about professional liability for those who occasionally need a reference source for this special type of coverage. It is also the study material for the RPLU designation.
In return, PLUS members will be offered NAPSLO’s surplus lines expertise through shared presentations, regulatory information, and access to NAPSLO’s educational schools.
“This new initiative is designed to enhance both organizations and the value we bring to our members,” said PLUS President, David Bell, chief operating and administrative officer of Allied World Assurance Company Ltd.
Mike Ardis, communications director for NAPSLO, said that NAPSLO will now share its legislative news and updates with all PLUS members as well. As other opportunities arise, NAPSLO and PLUS will continue to discuss partnering for the benefit of both organizations’ members, the associations said.
