11/11/11 is ARMISTICE DAY. The moment millions and millions of people stopped slaughtering each other is sacred and should never be forgotten. Veteran’s Day is an excuse for stores to discount furniture. If you really want to help veterans then vote for someone who will end our myriad global wars and let them come home.

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

Thanks for the history reminder, MP. Don’t forget that two-minute moment of silence tomorrow at 11 am.

Hail to the soldiers of all sides who died in battle.

Thoughts and prayers for all of our Veterans both home & abroad, living and deceased. They fought so we can enjoy our freedoms! Never forget! Thank a Vet!

This has to be one of the most half-arsed articles I’ve seen in any kind of news rag–it goes absolutely nowhere and fizzles into a half-hearted Veteran’s Day acknowledgement.

That all being saidand done–thank you, our veterans, for your service, your protection and your sacrifice.

You embrace the reality that “eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty” and by doing so, allow the rest of us to live our lives free from oppression and strife.

Today is 1011/1011/1011 in binary code. There is no significance of repeating digits based on the base 10 numeric system. Further, the repetition only results from dropping ’20’ off the year 2011. Despite this, many more lottery tickets will be sold today with selections of 11. It’s a good day to play the lottery because more money will be wagered based upon this myth, so the average payoff per dollar gambled will increase. But counting the number of times in the past that the lottery numbers matched the day of the drawing will disprove the myth that the date and lottery numbers drawn will match.

The Michigan lottery department cut off sales of the number “1111” for the Daily 4 drawing last Friday, to avoid too large of a payout if it actually hit.
