Now if the headline had been, “Dead Welfare and Food Stamp Recipients received Millions in Benefits,” you know this article would be lighting up with the Obama haters…
Obama will hire $35 million of payroll to handle this problem, and then claim unemployment has gone down some more.
Next year expect to read about how the taxpayers are subsidizing high income earners for their Exchange bought health insurance, and expect to read how taxpayers are paying for surgeries and drugs for dead people on obamacare.
Interesting that you bring that up. Were you aware that public sector jobs increased by 1,748,000 during President George W. Bush’s administration and decreased by 718,000 during President Obama’s administration. Please explain to me how the government shrank under a Republican administration and grew under a Democratic administration.
If have different FACTS, please provide along with your source.
Please take note – Military and state and local governments principally. Hate is a pretty strong word. Incompetent would fit better – have you looked at his list of promises from his first campaign (wait – has the campaign ever ended?) and the results? Just the facts…

Much of the PPACA is rolled out. People cannot get kicked off insurance, children can be on their parents’ policy until age 26, refunds are being sent out, rates are dropping in states that were proactive in implementing it, and personally, our family received a breast pump so our daughter can continue to have the benefits of breast milk once my wife returns to work and our daughter goes to daycare. It’s certainly not perfect, but definitely a step in the right direction.
So, there are 4 people out here who like people getting kicked off insurance plans, parents not having an opportunity to keep their young adult children healthy, people not getting refunded by being overcharged, rates increasing rather than decreasing, and my daughter not having her mother’s breast milk while attending daycare. Do you also like people not having access to health insurance due to pre-existing conditions?
I tell you what I don’t like about the PPACA. The mandate…the part that HASN’T kicked in yet. But, I do understand it is a necessary evil.
Observer: great idea to think of the Dr Demento song. Simply insert the word “farmer” and the song still works!
Dead puppies
Dead puppies
Dead puppies aren’t much fun
They don’t come when you call
They don’t chase squirrels at all
Dead puppies aren’t much fun
My puppy died late last fall
He’s still rotting in the hall
Dead puppies aren’t much fun
Mom says puppy’s days are through
She’s gonna throw him in the stew
Dead puppies aren’t much fun
$32M not so bad…really? C’mon. This is only ONE PROGRAM. AND it doesn’t include the potential for another $1.1B from subsidies. Re-read…it says $32M for soil conservation & crop ins. It doesn’t include the waste from the direct subsidies.
And no, I don’t blame O’bama, this is bi-partisan. The Agri-lobby is one of the biggest in the country.
Never in History has one President-Obamanation- spent so much and caused such a HUGE deficit, that is a fact. (And in my opinion- gotten so little for his money)
Even small-brain people have to acknowledge that.
Realist, the sad thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Rampant incompetence, obvious fraud and no transparency or accountability among all levels of this monstrous government. And this government wants to run our healthcare. What a joke.
Nope, the government is still having private carriers runs healthcare. But, continue spilling what Politifact labeled had their #1 lie 2 years in a row. Government takeover…ha! I wish we could get at least an option for single payer.
That is true regarding spending and the deficit during President Obama’s administration. However, to be fair, the same could be said at the end of President Reagan and President George W. Bush’s adminstrations as well.
Regardless of the reasons, even Republicans have to acknowledge that.
Why isn’t the social security death information automatically dumped to any other federal program that sends money to people. There should be an exchange of information so that this doesn’t happen. It can be automated in a manner similar to auto insurance and vehicle registration.
I’m not arguing with you, just asking a question and I don’t mean it to be crass, either! How does the Social Security Administration even know when someone dies? Doesn’t a family member have to report it? You always hear those stories about people collecting the money (No Country for Old Men!). So in this case, if they know that much money went to dead farmers, they should know which farmers they were and be able to trace who was cashing the checks illegally and make them repay it?
(I know, I know….in a perfect world this would happen, but likely, nothing will get done.)
I’m guessing here, but since the SSA will pay a death benefit upon learning of a death most people will notify the agency to get that money. It’s not much, but I imagine many people report a death just for that reason.
If the person is already collecting SS benefits, then there is no motivation to notify. Except going to jail for fraud. I’m not sure if people are honest or not. Some must be, but no doubt there are many who aren’t.
JW and Nebraskan, when a death certificate is issued, it must be sent immediately by the issuing party to SS. That way, they stop SS payments immediately if the person was retired and collecting SS. That info is also available to life insurance companies so that beneficiaries can get their benefits even if the documentation has been lost. NY state recently fined a bunch of life companies for not doing that.
Hey greenflash and Agent, I assume you guys have been keeping up with Anthony Weiner AKA “the peter tweeter”? Since the new lewd photos came out there have been many comments including:
* His new cyber alias “Carlos Danger” was used to court the Hispanic vote.
*Mayor Michael Bloomberg said “Ever since this story broke, Weiner has been “popping up” all over town!”
* Barney Frank commented- From the photos I have seen, it looks like Weiner has really aged since this all started.
* Al Sharpton is organizing a Weiner rally in over 100 cities. They expect some of the biggest Weiners in the Democrat party to show up.
* Nancy Pelosi said You have to vote for Weiner before you know what Weiner is all about.
Sargeant, I could be wrong, but when the NY Times comes out and says he should get out and several powerful Democrats say the same thing, I think the dog catcher would beat him. Perhaps there are enough perverts in NY to elect him, but indications are he may get the fewest votes on record. Maybe he can live on his wife’s income as assistant to Hilary in her campaign.

Thanks for re-stating since I got censored… Gee. What a surprise!
Dead farmers aren’t much fun.
But apparently their bank accounts are!
The dead farmers will still vote in Chicago elections.
The dead farmers also vote in the Ohio elections and do it multiple times. After all, they do have to keep the gravy train going.
dead farmers from new york will vote for anthony wiener!
The latest pictures are screen savers on Bawney Franks laptop.
Granted, it’s not “him” per se, but it is indicative of how our government employees do things. You this THIS is bad? Wait until Obamacare rolls out!

So who is forging the signatures on these checks to get them cashed?
We’ll never get the money back, but they share blame as well.

You can’t get blood out of a turnip. And if the farmer is dead, we don’t have any turnips anyway!

Thank you! I didn’t know that. Wish I had read this before I replied to Nebraskan, though. ;)
Another fine, well oiled, efficient federal government program.

Some one posted on FB Weiner Holder in 2016. I had to laugh out loud – mind you!
