I don’t live in a flood prone area. That said, I am not biased. However, the government had best not tell me or ANYBODY else where they can and can not live. The concerned scientists union alleges climate change causes rising levels so, people shouldn’t live there. But then they turn around and say low income residents should get subsidized insurance. If these low “incomers” own property on the water, I’m pretty sure they can afford their own insurance. I hear they’re going after homes in the mountains as well!

The government already tells us where we can’t live. Emminent domain?

What the governement shouldn’t be doing is subsidizing stupidity. You want to live in a flood prone area? Fine. When it get’s destroyed, you can cover the cost of repair.

Not so sure about that. There are plenty of distressed properties and “low incomers” on the water. Not all waterfront is created equal.
